SENIOR PASTOR Rev. Katheryn Barlow-Williams Katheryn is a Houston native who was transplanted to the Northeast for 18 years before returning to Texas in 2005 to serve as our pastor. Katheryn has served as an associate pastor in two congregations in New Jersey, and a solo pastor in Pennsylvania. Katheryn and her husband, Gray, have three children: Sarah, 13, Rachel, 12, and Sam, 10. Gray is a hands-on dad who supports and encourages Katheryn’s ministry while continuing in his own career as a program director for Educational Testing Service. With three active kids, two full-time jobs and two big dogs, the Williams household is loaded with fun, love and of course, chaos. Princeton Theological Seminary M.Div. Pracical Theology, Homiletics, Christian Ed Auburn University B.A. Journalism, French John has served as the Director of Music at Oak Hills Presbyterian for over 30 years. He is responsible for the music portion of our worship services. John plays the organ and piano for our services while also directing our choir. He holds a Master of Arts in music and is an Associate of the American Guild of Organists. Brigham Young University M.A. Organ and Music Theory Brigham Young University B.A. Organ and Music Theory DIRECTOR OF CONGREGATIONAL LIFE Reuben E Lashley Reuben works with all age groups of our church through educational, fellowship and outreach programs. His desire is to see the church grow inter-generationally within the church so that we can impact the community and world around us. Reuben has been working in ministry for 7 years as a children, youth, and college minister. Before beginning in the ministry he also served in the non-profit and corporate sectors. Reuben and his wife Lisa have a one year old son, named Ethan. Lisa works as a night shift RN at Christus Santa Rosa in the Medical Center. Baylor University M. Div. Theology Texas A&M Univeristy B.A. Communication, Political Science DIRECTOR OF OLDER ADULT MINISTRY Kelley Kelch Kelley serves in our older adult ministry, visiting home bound senior church members and coordinating our "XYZ" (eXtra Years of Zest) group. Kelley, her husband, Randy and children, Erin and Rhys relocated to San Antonio from Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2005. She notes that the warmer weather is much appreciated. Kelley graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master's of Social Work in 1993. Before moving to Texas she worked in the courts and county jail system in Michigan, directing a program serving the severe and persistent mentally ill. A chance meeting with Pastor Katheryn brought Kelley to her position with OHPC where she loves working with this active and exciting group. University of Michigan M.S.W. Interpersonal Practice, Leadership Eastern Michigan University Bachelor of Social Work DIRECTOR OF YOUTH Susanna Ebenstein Susanna has been a part of Oak Hills since 2003. She has been serving our youth since 2006. In addition to her position at the church, Susanna also serves as the Director of the New Horizons School, a childcare & learning center here in San Antonio. When she is not busy with work, Susanna loves spending time with her son Jacob and their Great Dane. Schreiner University B.A. Education ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Cristie Rethman Cristie is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration. Cristie worked as an accountant before she started her family. Cristie and her husband Chuck, have two daughters; Connor, 16, and Callie, 13, as well as a Labrador Retriever named Butterscotch, who just turned 10. Texas A&M University B.B.A. Accounting MAINTENANCE Benny Arredondo Benny is a San Antonio native who has lived here his entire life. He has worked at Oak Hills Presbyterian Church for almost 20 years and his dilligent commitment to the church keeps the wheels of our ministry in motion all year long. |
