Non-perishable Food

“I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink”                                           Matt 25:35

Thank you all for your generosity.  The Youth Group was able to fill  90 bags of food for the hungry.  We had a beverage, protein, (2)  crackers, fruit, fruit snacks and cookies in each bag.  WOW!

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously so that our youth could make these                             lunch bags.

We still have one more work day to go, April 12.

Last month, on our first work day we met with other Presbyterian churches  to put siding up on the house.  The good news is that our pastor not only  helped build a house for a family in need, she              provided a home for a sick dog in need!

A special thank you

 to those of you who

contributed to our One

 Great Hour of Sharing

 offering.

Thanks to your generosity,

we were able to send $700

to support this special fund that is used to help people throughout the world who are in desperate need of basic essentials such as food, shelter, medicine and schools.

Thank you also to Carolyn Livesay and Jack Henson, our money counters on Easter Sunday who not only recorded the money offered in the collection plate, but also counted the                      children’s One Great Hour of Sharing coin banks.

Refugee Family in Need

A Christian family who came to the U.S. last year from Iran to escape religious          discrimination is in need of financial assistance.  The family includes a husband, wife and three teenage boys.  We have met with the family in their home and             believe that this is a hard-working family trying to build a future in our country.  The Outreach & Social concerns committee would like to provide the family with a monthly allowance of at least $100 for one year.  If you are able to contribute to this fund, please make your check payable to OHPC and then write refugee family on the memo line.   Even the smallest financial contribution can make a big difference in the lives of these people.
